Jute Napkin Rings

In my attempt to add some coastal flair to my home,
I pieced this together,
 for a centerpiece.

While visiting Pottery Barn,
these napkin rings were on display.
The perfect inspiration for my coastal,
 table top theme.

I did not take notice of their price,
 because my (cheap) mind
was already thinking ahead as to how I was going to make something similar,
for a lot less.

I found this bag of very basic, wood napkin rings
at my local G.W.

Can you see the price?
Here, let me help you, $1.99.
8 rings came in the bag.

The roll of jute came from my supply lair.

Leaving about 3 inches of excess jute at the beginning,
I wound the jute around and around and around the ring,
leaving some excess at the end as well.
I cut another strip of jute about 4 inches long and used it,
together with the excess ends of jute,
to make a knot.

Popcorn Design.
8 napkin rings for $2.00

Pottery Barn Design.
8 napkin rings
for a lot more than $2.00.

Am I excited about this?
Jute know it!

Now,
go check out these little ladies,
and tell them Popcorn sent ya!
