Eve,
my beloved hutch,
is my seasonal/holiday display piece.
She is my "go to" source when I'm looking for a little change,
a creative outlet,
something that doesn't involve laundry or dirty dishes.
She is my own little Macy's window display.
This week,
Eve is displaying my love for birds.
Bowls with birds,
bird nests,
birds from the Dollar Store,
and bird eggs.
See the painting with the two love birds?
It is my dad's creation.
He had a love for birds and passed it along in the form of art.
I have several bird houses in which he crafted and
on occasion they make their way out of my supply lair and
into my home.
A girl has got to do what a girl's gotta do,
even if that means spray painting some dried branches from a tree,
light blue and white,
to coordinate with a window display.
This is serious business here.
A bird cage and some cloches are on display too.
Here is a glass owl,
he's looking a little alienish in this picture but believe me,
he is so cute and coordinates perfectly with my display,
another reason to love him.
Thanks for checking out my window display.
If you want to walk down memory lane with Eve,
I don't call her Enchanting Eve for nothing.

Just love your hutch, and all your beautiful vignettes....Kathy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful, and did I say beautiful. Love all the birdies and what great colors. Those bowls are bee-u-ti-ful too. Great painting by your dad.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like a display hutch to feed one's creativity, I always say! And Eve is no exception. I love all your bird elements. I have also become fascinated with birds, nests, and the like too. My Dad's hobby used to be making bird houses, so I have many stashed away. Maybe I'll get them out and make a display!
ReplyDeleteI need an "Eve" in my life... I always look forward to seeing what you do next with your sweet hutch.
ReplyDeleteI love how you call her your Macy's window. I must remember that. :) I think a lot of us have these places. For me it is my bay window in the kitchen and the bookshelves in my dining room. Yours, though is gorgeous. I love the repeating color theme and the mix of items you have used. Thanks for sharing.
