The quest,
to complete the major pieces
in my daughter's room,
continues.
The next piece in need of some refreshment is her antique wardrobe closet.
This piece belonged to my husband's great aunt.
When it came our way,
I was so happy.
I wasn't sure how it would fit into our life but I didn't care,
I loved that it was unique
and I was going to make it work,
no matter what.
It was originally stained dark walnut.
When I found out I was having a baby girl
I immediately had a faux painting artist
paint it white.
After several coats of primer and white paint,
she added some pink flowers.
It was perfect for our baby girl.
That was nine years ago.
The years are beginning to show.
I'd say it's time for an update.
I gave her a fresh coat of white.
I changed out the crystal knobs and replaced them with some fun polka dots.
I also added one black knob,
with a vintage look,
to the long mirrored door.
Before:
After:
I topped her off with some accessories
I've found along the way.
Here is her debut.
Fresh and updated.
You've come a long way, baby.
