I'm having fun decorating my hutch.
This is what it looked like,
straight out of G.W.
With some primer,
paint and new hardware,
it transformed into this beauty.
I envisioned it as an area to have a seasonal display
with fun things
for my peeps to enjoy.
This was the Halloween display,
complete with sour worms,
candy eyeballs,
and green booger juice.
Fall harvest was the theme in November.
Candy and kids stuff was the focus for Christmas.
I skipped a winter theme
and jumped right into a collection of Valentine's paraphernalia.
I lined the back with Christmas wrapping paper,
on clearance,
added a white platter and matching cake stand
trimmed in red ribbon,
some white bowls,
and a strand of lights from Pottery Barn Christmas clearance.
Again, I featured candy and sweet treats.
My peeps go for the occasional sucker or licorice,
but it's this arrangement they've got their eye's on.
Seasonal hutch rules state,
fancy swirly suckers may not be eaten before February 14th.
Offenders will be severely punished.
You better believe there's a rule book.
It's right next to the remote control user guide.
Hutch decor,
is a serious subject,
and is not supposed to be taken lightly.

The Seasonal Hutch Gestapo
