G.W. (Goodwill) - Before and After, Pedestal Table

I was at G.W. (Goodwill)
when
I spotted this table.

I passed her by on the first visit,
but thoughts of her never left my mind.

After a few day,
I succumbed to the voices in my head,
called my friend Susie,
(who lives near G.W.)
had her drop everything she was doing,
and sent her to purchase the table,
IF it was still available.

Not only did she buy the table,
she used a coupon.
(I run with a savvy crowd of shoppers.)

I brought my new purchase home
and introduced her to my backyard.
I like to refer to my backyard,
as my hi-tech,
spray paint/painting facility.

What I liked about her,
number one,
was her price,
$49.00,
after coupon.

Number two, her size.
40 inches in circumference.

Perfect for what I had in mind.

This pedestal table, from Pottery Barn,
was what I had on my mind.
But,
my mind could not wrap itself around the PB price tag.
$699.00

So,
enter the G.W. table.

There were some glass rings and water damage on her top
but once I went over her with the sander
she was good to go.

A good cleaning and two coats of black,
semi-gloss paint later....

She now resides in my living room
between two couches,
proudly displaying a lamp
and some accessories.

$49.00 (table) + 8.00 (paint) = $57.00

Those voices in my head know a good thing
when they see one.

Beautiful! Great deal as well! Sometimes it pays to listen to those voices in your head.

Wow!! Great transformation. I like yours better. Tell me what kind of furniture at PB has a story like your table!!
