a message from the Latinas..........

Lisa...What can we say about the little "Conquistadora" of the Latina group and breakfast club.

The jury is still out on whether she is a real Latina or not. Like when she told us the story about the “chamero” in her hometown that sold dry goods and other interesting stuff. What the heck is a “chamero”? The rest of the Latinas had a little conference and none of us had ever heard of a “chamero”, we googled “chamero” and nothing….. I think she was trying to pull one over on us. Maybe she thought the rest of us were not in touch with our roots!

Lisa has an infectious laugh and always makes us laugh, we even overlook that she is usually laughing at one of us!

Lisa loves to tell us about outfits, purses or shoes she’s gotten a good deal on. Ever the savvy shopper; her contacts (store employees) put things aside for her and call her when they go sale! How do the rest of us have a chance?

(This one is one of the more conservative ones….it is a family friendly blog…)

I mean this girl, can get anyone to do anything for her and enjoy doing it! Like the time, Lisa invited Sandi Gomez to Ana’s (the Cuban), surprise birthday party and then got Sandi to cook the entire time; or when she got Susie to come install curtain rods in Carly’s room on a Saturday, just because Susie wasn’t smart enough to say she was doing something, Lisa didn’t even care Susie had never hung curtain rods before, she was cheap labor; or when she got Guadalupe and Ana to give up their whole day to go and sew curtains to hang on those rods…that fell the following day! I mean look at this face, who could say no?

Like I said, the jury is still out but we enjoy her company so much, we decided to keep her anyway….and she really is stepping it up on her Spanish!
