Lunch in Banff

This is the Fairmont Banff Springs in Banff.

Rising above the pine trees, this jaw dropping, massive hotel resembles a castle.

Unfortunately, we didn't not stay here while visiting Canada. (It's nothing like the "motor lodge" we are staying at, but if you like castles with panoramic views, it'll do.)

As luck would have it, our dear friend from Arizona, Michelle, had a conference scheduled here while we were visiting as well. What are the chances of that?

Sheila and I planned a luncheon with Michelle after we dropped our boy's off at the Banff Hockey Academy. The boy's hockey team was invited by the Academy President to take a tour and have some lunch.

Take a look at the front lobby of the Fairmont.

We were happy to see Michelle and we were
also joined by Michelle's sister-in-law, Kim, who lives in Calgary, Michelle's sweet daughter, Alexa, and by Roel, a hockey dad, who was probably wondering how he found himself in this situation.

Hockey Dad, Roel.
Here is Alexa.

I couldn't resist placing some flowers in her hair and having a photo shoot. She is a good sport and a great subject, don't you think?

We dined on the terrace and enjoyed this breathtaking view!

Sheila, Michelle, Alexa, Kim and myself.

I am having a wonderful time and enjoying every minute here in Canada. With friends and lunches like this, what's not to love?

Last photo count...1200! Every where I turn is another photo opportunity.
