Popcorn Served Daily

His weekly view.

My husband has been away from home for 2 weeks.

He was working in Kansas and also met our son in Detroit for a hockey tournament last weekend.

Yesterday afternoon he was scheduled to arrive, but the weather delayed then canceled his flight out of Wichita. He was bummed, to say the least. He wanted to be able to arrive just in time for Carley's school program.

Later last night, he made his way to a hotel room.

We were talking about flight options when I heard him munching. I asked him, "what are you eating?"

He said, "popcorn."

Now, you have to know that my husband is not very fond of popcorn.

One of the reasons that I married him.

I don't have to share my popcorn with him. My soul mate.

No sharing.

I never have to say to him, "get your own popcorn."

I can't help it, right? I'm the baby of the family, virtually raised as an only child. My closest sibling, 10 years.

So what I was saying again?

Oh yes, when I spoke with him, he was snacking on popcorn.

Now I know he is missing me!

When he has resorted to popcorn. He misses me! Yep, that's what it means.

Either that, or he was just hungry, or bored, and it was free.

No, I'd like to think that he was jonesing for his Latina Lady.

Popcorn served daily.
